PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-washing device for a drain which is installed in the drain such as gutter to automatically wash the inside of the drain. SOLUTION: A gate plate 2 is suspended by a hinge part 4 from a gate plate holding part 3 horizontally fixed between a pair of drain fitting parts 5 to be attached to an upper edge of gutter 10, the inside of the drain is divided in the cross-section, a float 6 to detect the water level in the upstream of the gate plate 2 is held to the gate plate holding part 3 by a working pin 7 movably in the vertical direction, a lock pin 8 at a lower end of the working pin 7 is engaged with and set to a lock pin receiver 11 provided on the gate plate 2, the lock pin 8 is inserted in a lock hole 12 of the lock pin receiver 11 in the gate plate 2 in the closed attitude, and the gate plate 2 is locked to store water in the upstream. When the water level of the stored water reaches the top dead center, the float 6 rises, the lock pin 8 is unlocked, and held on the lock pin receiver 11 to open the gate plate 2, and the inside of the drain is automatically washed by flow the stored water at a stretch.
