PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel shaft type transmission in a compact size and a multistage type. SOLUTION: This parallel shaft type transmission has an input shaft 1, a first counter shaft 2, a second counter shaft 3, and an output shaft 4 parallel to one another, and has two first speed change gear trains 21a, 22a, 21b, 22b arranged between the input shaft 1 and the first counter shaft 2, a first and a second clutch means 11, 12 for engaging and disengaging the input shaft 1 and the first speed change gear, two second speed change trains 22a, 23a, 22c, 23c arranged between the first counter shaft 2 and the second counter shaft 3, a third and a fourth clutch means 13, 14 for engaging and disengaging the second counter shaft 3 and the second speed change driven gear, third speed change gear trains 23d, 24d arranged between the second counter shaft 3 and the output shaft 4, and a fifth clutch means 15 for engaging and disengaging the first counter shaft 2 and the output shaft 4. |
