PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily clean a filter in a short time. SOLUTION: Air for back washing is sucked from the outlet port of a displacement type blower when it is driven in reverse, then the sucked air is introduced into a rotating nozzle 35 through an intake tube 25. The nozzle rotates and moves while it is ejecting compressed air from an opening 38 to the rear side of the collecting face of a main filter 40 to uniformly clean up the whole area of the main filter. Then the reversely flowing air including a portion of fume dust, after passing through the main filter 40, passes through the outlet port 19 of a screen tank 11 and a back washing filter 21, in sequence, and a portion of fume dust is separated by the back washing filter, then cleaned air is discharged into the atmosphere.
