PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a frame for a hat to be readily detached from a rotatably driven frame. SOLUTION: This frame device 9 for a hat 1 has a frame 10 for the hat 1 for nipping the hat 1, and a rotatably driven frame 30 having the frame 10 for the hat 1 detachably fitted on the outside in a sewing machine side. A brim part 23 protruding in the outer periphery side is installed on the outer periphery of the frame 10 for the hat. A lever 32 having a latching hook 31 protruding to the rotatably driven frame 30 is pivotally 33 attached to the outer periphery of the rotatably driven frame 30 so as to be freely tilted, and urged in the direction in which the latching hook 31 directs the rotatably driven frame 30 by a spring 34. When the frame 10 for the hat 1 is fitted on the outside of the rotatably driven frame 30, a brim part 23 once pushes up the latching hook in the direction to be separated from the rotatably driven means 30, and after the latching hook 31 surmounts the brim part 23, the latching hook 31 is latched to the brim part 23 by the urge of the spring 34.
