摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering which is simple in constitution, excellent in reproducibility, high reliability, and appropriate in robustness and durability by forming the covering of a specified rubber plastic material, setting a surface shape to be a specified shape, and setting the thickness to be a minimum value. SOLUTION: Parts surfaces 14, 15 which can be damaged by the direct splashing of a molten metal are covered by coverings 1, 2. Its material is preferably a silicone rubber having a characteristic that its elasticity is durable. The shape is determined so as to be correctly and geometrically adapted to the shape of the parts surfaces 14, 15, and adhered thereto. The thicknesses D1, D2 are at least approximate by constant, and preferably equal to each other. The thickness is determined according to the minimum thickness of the covering to the expected maximum collision energy of the splash of the molten metal (the kinematic energy and the thermal energy of the splash of the molten metal).</p>
