PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently debur without damaging the surface of a work by connecting an electric discharge machining head capable of moving in three- dimensional direction and a workpiece to a power supply, and deburring while driving a power supply, when a burr is recognized by a shape recognizing means, and inducing electric discharge between the electric discharge machining head and the burr. SOLUTION: A power supply is connected to an electric discharge machining head 2 and a workpiece W, the electric discharge machining head 2 is moved by NC 20, and when burr B is recognized a CCD camera 6 as a shape recognizing means during its movement, a switching element in the power supply 1 is turned on. The power supply 1 has the positive pole connected to the workpiece W on a machining table and the negative pole connected to the electric discharge machining head 2, so that when discharge occurs, a discharge current flows from the node toward the burr. Insulation of air in a gap formed between the electric discharge machining head 2 and the burr B is broken to induce discharge and remove a burr.
