PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of coating precision or the generation of coating defect even if a coating liquid containing a dispersing agent is applied or high speed coating is executed by making a rod for coating device difficult to be worn. SOLUTION: The rod 24 for coating device is formed by making the upper surface 25C of a projected part formed on the surface of a rod 25 flat and applying a coating film 26 on the surface of the rod 25 by ceramic coating or diamond coating. As a result, the adhesive strength of the coating film 26 to the surface of the rod 25 is increased to prevent the generation of crack or stripping.
