PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the visible or invisible air bubble accumultated in a hollow fiber membrane module from the outside of the housing of the module. SOLUTION: An air bubble in a hollow fiber membrane is detected by a magnetic resonance diagnosing apparatus. A hollow fiber membrane module 1 is arranged in a static magnetic field in such a state that a liquid is supplied to flow channels 6 in hollow fibers 6 from filtrate flow channels 7 and at least one opening end 5a (5b) and irradiated with a high frequency signal to subject the high frequency signal discharged from nuclear magnetic resonance of atomic nuclei in the module to image processing to obtain the image of the hollow fiber membrane module to thereby detect the air bubble in the module.
