PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine with which efficient drainage is enabled or damage to laundry is reduced by performing oscillating/rotating motion with a dehydrating or washing tub and a rotary blade. SOLUTION: This washing machine is provided with a rotary driving shaft connected with the rotary driving source of the dehydrating tub, an oscillation/rotation converting means, a rotary output shaft and a freely rotatable cylindrical bottomed dehydrating tub 4a. The dehydrating tub 4a is oscillated/rotated by rotating the rotary driving shaft 1. Further, the washing machine is provided with the rotary driving shaft 1 connected with the rotary driving source of the washing tub, an oscillation/rotation converting means 2, a rotary output shaft 3, and the freely rotatable cylindrical bottomed-washing tub. By rotating the rotary driving shaft 1, the washing tub is oscillated/rotated. Additionally, the washing machine is provided with the rotary driving shaft 1 connected with the rotary driving source of the washing tub, the oscillation/rotation converting means 2, the rotary output shaft 3, the cylindrical bottomed washing tub, and the freely rotatable rotary blade By rotating the rotary driving shaft, the rotary blade at the center of the bottom of the washing tub is oscillated/rotated.
