PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for rolling bar-shaped articles, particularly cigarette-filter-cigarette groups. SOLUTION: The articles to be rolled are allowed to start rolling with the starter 30 before the authentic start of the rolling, so that at least one bar article started with the starter 30 is further allowed to start rolling with another starter 20, and the bar article 2 that is allowed to start rolling by both of the starters 20 and 30 starts the authentic rolling. At least two starters 20, 30 are provided before the rolling route.
