PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the labor when combined patterns are utilized by a sewing machine again. The number for the message pattern desired to be registered is selected from number 95 to number 99 and is inputted by the numeric keys. By this input, an electronic controller shifts to pattern number write and read processing and makes affirmative judgment that the input number mn is the number 95 to the number 99 (S230). Next, the input number mn is set as a message number Nmsg (S280) and the value (mn-95) subtracting the value 95 from the input number mn is determined cLS a group number Ngrp of an EEPROM. When the group number Ngrp is obtained, the controller carries out the processing (S300) to read out the group (Ngrp) of the pattern number Npt already written in the EEPROM region assigned by the group number Ngrp. |
