PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute treating operation by catching a pile lesson of an anus to be enlarged in a visual field. SOLUTION: A video endoscope for an anus having an insertion part 10 and a grasping part 11 is provided with an outer cylindrical tube 12 having a side hole 23, an observing part 16 having an observing optical system 17 positioned at the hole 23 for observing an object site to be treated and an illuminating optical system 18 for illuminating the object site, and a channel opening part 15 for leading out a treating tool toward a space between the part 16 and the hole 23 provided at the tube 12 of the insertion part 10. In this case, a channel opening part 15 is provided by retreating in the axial direction of the insertion part from a space.
