PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce an existing plate forming a structure such as a sash window, which is constituted of a glass plate and a frame body, such that the glass plate and the sash frame are not easily broken at a boundary portion thereof. SOLUTION: In a sash window 1 including a glass plate 2 and a sash frame 3 which is fixed to the sash plate 2 so as to pinch the periphery of the same, a synthetic resin film 8 is stuck to one surface 2b of the glass plate 2, and a peripheral portion 8b of the film 8 is pinched by an edge 2b of the glass plate 2 along the sash frame 3 and an edge member 10 arranged along the frame member 3. Further, the edge member 10 is fixed to the frame member 3 by a fixing means 12 such as a screw.
