PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross bar which increases a contact area with a cathode loop, decreases a contact resistance, and improves an electric current efficiency, a grinding method of cross bar, and a grinding device. SOLUTION: On a cross bar 104 with a rectangular cross section for suspending a cathode plate 102 via a looped mounting means 105 into an electrolyzer, inclined faces 107 are formed on each squared part extending along the longitudinal axial direction of the cross bar at least in sections where the bar is electrically in contact with the mounting means 105 of the cathode plate 102.
