摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform timely spray of a fire extinguishing agent properly by vertically setting a conduit tube which has a ball for breaking a window glass and to which a high pressure nitrogen is supplied in the central part of a vessel filled with the agent and by connecting a discharge tube to a hole made in the bottom of the vessel through an extra-fine mesh which prevents the fire extinguishing agent from flowing out. SOLUTION: This fire extinguishing appliance, which is carried to the site of conflagration at multistoried buildings and the like while being hanged by a helicopter and extinguishes fire by spraying fire extinguishing agents, has a vessel 1 in which a fire extinguishing agent is packed and a high pressure nitrogen cylinder 6. At the time of fire extinguishing, a bulb 5 for opening and closing in a high pressure hose 4 directed in a cockpit is opened in a state that a top end cap 12 of a discharge tube 11 is taken off. Then, nitrogen gas is flown into a conduit tube 2, a ball 8 expands a metallic fitting 7 for holding, enters the discharge tube 11 by breaking an extra-fine mesh 9 and breaks a window glass of a building by being forcibly released outside. Successively the fire extinguishing agent is sprayed from the top end of the discharge tube 11 by the supply of gaseous nitrogen, thus performing fire extinguishing.
