PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control well the temperature of a toilet seat by low power consumption even in winter by providing a means to maintain the temperature of the toilet seat at a temperature set by a user when a toilet lid is open and maintain at a temperature lower than the temperature set by the user when the toilet lid is closed. SOLUTION: A toilet lid status judgment means determines whether a toilet lid is open or closed (S3) and maintains the temperature of a toilet seat at a temperature set by the user by a knob for setting temperature if the toilet lid is open (S4), and a motor control means maintains the temperature of the toilet seat at a temperature a prescribed temperature lower than a temperature set by the user, judging that the sanitary cleaning device is not in use if the lid is closed (S5). Thus, as the device maintains the temperature of the toilet seat lower than a temperature set by the user and can reduce efficiently power consumption below normal power use, it is economical.
