PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a rolling stock with a footrest to be compactly folded up when not used for effectively utilizing the space in front of the seat without widening the gap between seats. SOLUTION: The footrest 34 of this seat consists of rotatable left/right first rotating arms 37, 37, left/right second rotating arms 38, 38 connected foldably to the tops of the first rotating arms 37, 37 and a foot-rest board 24 foldably attached between the tops of the second rotating arms 38, 38. When the footrest is not used, the foot-rest board 24 and the second rotating arms 38, 38 are folded up.
