PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively manufacture a master batch for coloring in which a coloring agent is uniformly mixed. SOLUTION: A master batch for coloring is manufactured via a step (a) of preparing a thermoplastic resin pellet 10 and a coloring material 12 comprising a pigment component and a wax component and having a melting temperature lower than that of the thermoplastic resin pellet 10 and a step (b) of kneading the thermoplastic resin pellet 10 and the coloring material 12 under a condition of a temperature at which the coloring material 12 melts but the thermoplastic resin pellet 10 does not melt to obtain a coloring pellet 20 having a double layer structure that the outer surface of the thermoplastic resin pellet 10 is covered with the coloring material 12 or the master batch for coloring is manufactured further via a step (c) of heating and kneading the coloring pellet 20 to obtain the master batch 30 for coloring having a structure in which the thermoplastic resin and the coloring material are uniformly mixed.
