PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily impart a pre-compression to an elastic body in the manufac ture of a vibration isolating device to be provided on the mount of an automo tive engine by interposing a rubber-like elastic body between a cylindrical bracket and an inner cylinder inserted into the bracket, in the manufacture of the cylindrical bracket, and then blocking the opening part. SOLUTION: In a vibration isolating device having a rubber-like elastic body 4 interposed between a cylindrical bracket 1 and an inner cylinder 3 inserted to the connecting hole 2 of the bracket 1, the bracket 1 is formed in a deformed shape having a mount part 4 integrally protruded with a part of the circumference. The bracket 1 has a pair of protruding parts 7 radially formed with a space on the circumference, and this space is provided as an opening part 8 extending to the connecting hole 2. The elastic body 4 is integrally formed with the connecting hole 2 and the inner cylinder 2 by vulcanization molding, and a pre-compression for removing the contraction of the elastic body 4 is performed. In order to impart the pre-compression to the elastic body 4, the outer circumferential surface of the bracket 1 not closed is pressed from both sides to block the opening part 8.
