PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost by connecting the upper end sections of diagonal columns with horizontal braces, and connecting the horizontal braces and ceiling beams. SOLUTION: Four steel columns 11 are erected at four corners of a square, the upper end sections of the columns 11 are connected by steel ceiling girders 13 along the sides of the square, and wooden ceiling beams 17 are suspended between opposite ceiling girders 13. The upper end sections of the columns 11 are connected by horizontal braces 2, the horizontal braces 2 and the ceiling beams 17 are connected, and ceiling materials are fitted to the lower faces of the ceiling beams 17. The lower end sections of the columns 11 are connected by steel floor girders 12 along the sides of the square, studs 19 are fitted between the ceiling girders 13 and the floor girders 12, and outer wall panels, inner wall panels and the like are fitted to form a building unit 1. The building unit 1 can be manufactured at a low cost.
