PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rusting and permit smooth startup for the next operation by rotating a fan motor of a buried snow-melting device at every predetermined time after closing an open-close lid and starting and controlling the heating from a coil. SOLUTION: A snow-melting device buried underground is equipped with a control section C having a CPU, a memory and a timer, and a limit switch Ls is made to turn on/off by the opening or closing of the open-close lid 17 thereby performing the control by the operation. When the open-close lid 17 is closed, the snow-melting operation stops, the timer starts a counting, a motor fan FM is turned and driven for every predetermined time, thereafter, phase control is made, and the motor coil is functioned as a heater for a certain time to control the evaporation of moisture. By controlling the drive as stated above, the rusting of the burner fan F and locking of the fan motor FM of the snow-melting device are prevented, although placed in the underground with a high humidity for about one year and a half except snow-falling season, and a smooth startup and operation can be assured at the time of next use.
