WELDING EQUIPMENT AND ITS CONTROLLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding equipment which detects abnormality of welding powder supply and gives an excellent result of welding, and its controlling method. SOLUTION: This equipment is furnished with a gas bomb 13 which supplies gas through a gas hose 7 to a welding torch 6, a hopper 8 which supplies welding powder 14 into the gas hose 7, and a sensor 4 which is located between the gas supplying position of the gas hose 7 and the gas bomb 13 and detects a gas flow. As a controlling method, a step is included in which a gas supply rate is temporally increased to blow off the welding powder 14 which clogs up the gas hose 7.
