PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a calculation frequency of atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: This atmospheric pressure estimating device for a vehicle which estimates atmospheric pressure on the basis of an atmospheric pressure estimating parameter by taking the physical quantity detected with the operation of an on-vehicle engine as an atmospheric pressure estimating parameter and which is provided with a throttle opening sensor for detecting the throttle opening TA of the engine. Intake pipe pressures PM1, PM2 as atmospheric pressure estimating parameters in two different throttle openings TA1, TA2 detected by the sensor are found, and atmospheric pressure PA is calculated on the basis of respectively found intake pipe pressures PM1, PM2.
