PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of curing a flame retarded epoxy resin composition providing excellent hydrolytic resistance, and a flame retardance having a little influence with curability by including an epoxy resin, an epoxy resin curing agent and N,N'-bis(diphenoxyphosphinyl)piperazine, mixing the resulting product with a phosphoric amide compound of a certain proportion to the epoxy resin and heating the mixture. SOLUTION: 5-100 pts.wt. phosphoric amide compound [N,N'-bis(diphenoxyphosphinyl)piperazine] as a flame retardant are mixed with 100 pts.wt. of an epoxy resin and the mixture is heated. The phosphoric amide compound is obtained by heat reacting diphenyl phosphorochloridate with piperazine in the presence of a solvent and the obtained compound having the melting point of 184 deg.C is a white powdered solid. Curing conditions of the epoxy resin differ depending upon components or compounding amounts of a resin, a curing agent and an additive, a curing method, and the like, but usually, it is good to heat the resin at a temperature of 70-180 deg.C for from several min to several hr.
