PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic insulation film material excellent in electrical, thermal, mechanical, and physical properties by reacting the carboxyl terminals of a polybenzoxazole precursor with an oligomer having amino groups. SOLUTION: The polybenzoxazole precursor is represented by formula I (wherein n is 2-1,000; X is a tetravalent organic group; and Y is a divalent organic group). Preferably, the backbone of the oligomer having amino groups contains repeating units derived from a compound selected from among propylene oxide, ethylene oxide, methyl methacrylate, styrene, and carbonates, and the mol.wt. of the part comprising repeating units is preferably 100-10,000. Preferably, the oligomer in an amount of 5-40 wt.% of the precursor is reacted with the molecular terminals of the precursor. The objective organic insulation film has a microporous polybenzoxazole resin layer which is formed from a material prepared as above-mentioned and of which the main structure is represented by formula II.
