PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluid which is used for traction drives, has excellent abrasion resistance and excellent scoring resistance, and can control surface damages such as the peeling of an abrading material. SOLUTION: This fluid for traction drives is obtained by adding (A) an active phosphate ester and (B) a boron-containing imide-based dispersant to a base oil so that a phosphorus content originated from the component A and a boron content originated from the component B are 100 to 600 wt.ppm and >=60 wt.ppm, respectively, in the fluid, and further adding (C) a boron-free imide-based dispersant to the base oil so that the weight ratio of the nitrogen in the component C to the boron in the component B is >=1. |
