摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To moderate the deterioration of an image quality attributed to the clogging of a nozzle by automatically executing the checkup of the nozzle by a checkup part after cleaning when a cleaning operation is performed by a cleaning mechanism. SOLUTION: When a cleaning-inducing phenomenon is generated, a cleaning mechanism executes cleaning of a nozzle (S1-S2), and the clogging of all the nozzles for six colors is executed using a missing dot checkup part (S3). When it is interpreted that no inoperative nozzles are present (S4), a routine printing operation is selected (S5) to execute the printing (S7) when a printing command is received from a computer. When it is interpreted that inoperative nozzles are present (S4), a printing operation using no inoperative nozzles is selected (S6) to execute the printing (S7) when the printing command is received from the computer during later printing.
