PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sense of clicking and dissolve a strike sound in the roller of a detent spring giving a sense of clicking to the operation of a shift lever by respectively forming an inner roller body out of synthetic resin of low friction factor and high hardness and an outer roller body out of synthetic resin of high friction factor and low hardness. SOLUTION: A detent spring 1 is engaged with a tooth-shaped cutout 5 formed on the outer circumference of a detent plate 4 interlocking with the shift lever of an automatic transmission, and a sense of clicking is given to the operation of the shift lever. The detent spring 1 is constituted of a belt-like main body 1A made of plate spring material, a fixed seat part 1B, a fork-like yoke 1C, and a roller pin 1D of which both end parts are windingly fixed with them. In this case, in a roller 10, an inner roller body 11 rotatably supported with the roller pin 1D is made of synthetic resin of low friction factor and high hardness, and an outer roller body 20 stuck to the outer circumferential face of the inner roller body 11 is made of synthetic resin of high friction factor and low hardness.
