PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange desks and the like not used in corner spaces so that they cumber a minimal possible storage area out of the way. SOLUTION: A top 4 is attached to leg members 2 via turning means 3, for pivotal motion between a horizontal position and a vertical position. The turning means 3 have fitting portions or deterrence portions 14 for stopping the top 4 in the horizontal position from making pivotal motion. The fitting portions 14 are releasable from their deterrent state by releasing means 37 disposed on the leg members 2, and when thrown in the released state, permits pivotal motion of the top 4 into the vertical position.
