PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for the dehydrochlorination treatment of waste plastic capable of efficiently removing hydrogen chloride generated in the thermal cracking of waste plastic containing a chlorine-based polymer and getting a molten plastic having low residual chlorine content. SOLUTION: This apparatus for the dehydrochlorination treatment of waste plastic is provided with a waste plastic charging port 32, a molten plastic discharging port 36, a hydrogen chloride discharging port 35, a means for heating the waste plastic and a guiding means 34 for transferring the waste plastic from the charging port 32 to the discharging port 36. The hydrogen chloride discharging port 35 is positioned in a manner to remove the generated hydrogen chloride before reacting the hydrogen chloride with the waste plastic to form a hardly removable compound having high boiling point.
