PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing plasma display panel(PDP) which can continuously apply a phosphor ink over a long period of time and can uniformly form a phosphor layer with ease and good precision even in the case of a fine cell structure, ink coating equipment suited in this method, and a phosphor ink. SOLUTION: When a nozzle 54 scans in the X-direction while sending forth a phosphor ink from a nozzle head 53, the nozzle 54 is allowed to scan along the scanning line while adjusting the Y-direction of the nozzle head 53 as well. As the phosphor ink, the one comprising phosphor powder having an average particle diameter of 0.5-5μm, a mixed solvent of terpineol, butyl carbitol acetate, butyl carbitol and pentanediol which are solvents having a terminal OH group, limonene and the like, a binder composed of ethyl cellulose having an ethoxy group content in the cellulose molecule of not less than 49% or an ethylene oxide based polymer further mixed with a dispersing agent is employed.
