PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blind rivet for a peelable type, which can provide a stable predetermined binding force. SOLUTION: A blind rivet is composed of a rivet body 2 having a cylindrical barrel part 3 and a flange-like head part 4 at one end of the cylindrical barrel part 3, and a mandrel 5 having a mandrel body 6 and an enlarged head part 7 at one end of the mandrel body 6 and fitted in the barrel part, the heat part 7 of the mandrel 5 being formed therein with a plurality of radial cutting blades 9. The head part 7 of the mandrel has a maximum diameter slightly larger the diameter of the barrel part 3 of the rivet body 2 so that the cutting blades 9 cut an opening 14 at the other end of the barrel part when the mandrel body is pulled, so as to form a plurality of divided leg pieces which can radially opened by a large degree. The lower surface part of the head part of the mandrel is flared upward so that its diameter is gradually increased from the outer peripheral surface of the mandrel body to a peripheral edge part 7a having a maximum diameter.
