PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric that can be changed its shape into a desired form by applying heat thereto and can maintain its desired shape by lowering temperature in no need of adding other matters. SOLUTION: As both of warp and weft, are used a yarn 2 prepared by twisting a yarn 1 made of a shape memory polymer and a thermally fusing yarn, or as one of the warp and the weft, is used the yarn 2 prepared by twisting the yarn 1 made of the shape memory polymer and the thermally fusing yarn, while as the other weft or warp, is used the yarn 1 made of the shape memory polymer, then the thermally fusing yarn is fused to mutually adhere the shape memory polymer yarns thereby obtaining the objective shape memory woven fabric 3. In another case, a shape memory yarn and usual yarn are used, a thermally fusible yarn is admixed to the shape memory yarn or the usual yarn, and these yarns are woven as the warp and the weft and the resultant woven fabric is heated to form the objective shape memory woven fabric 3.
