PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the danger of the bite of hard carbide to a sliding part by repairing and restoring effectively the cracks and the voids of the carbide to their former states, which are generated inevitably in the case of performing cool and warm working to a high carbon-high alloy-contg. steel, to secure an airtight property, and to improve a mechanical characteristic. SOLUTION: After performing plastic working whose draft is 10% or over by cool and warm working of 800 deg.C or below to a high carbon stainless steel containing 0.5 mass% C or over and 8 mass% Cr or over or to a high carbon- high alloy-contg. steel containing 0.5 mass% C or over and containing 0.5 mass% or over one or two kinds or over selected out of the carbide formation elements of Cr, Mo, W, V, Nb, Ti, etc., HIP processing is performed. Consequently, the cracks of primary carbide, which appear on worked parts, are repaired and restored to their former states. |
