PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin resin which has a good orienting property, when formed into an oriented film, and gives the oriented film having excellent heat resistance and rigidity, and to provide an oriented film by orienting the polyolefin resin. SOLUTION: This polyolefin resin-improving agent contains a crystalline polyolefin resin which has a mol.wt. of 100,000 to 1,000,000 and an elution temperature of 36 to 104 deg.C, when the polyolefin is measured by a heating fractionation correlation mol.wt.-measuring method. The crystalline polyolefin resin composition contains 4 to 20 wt.% of a polyolefin resin-improving agent as an active ingredient. The polyolefin resin-improving agent preferably contains the polyolefin resin-improving agent, 4 to 20 wt.% of a polyolefin having a mol.wt. of 10,000 to 100,000 and an elution temperature of >116 deg.C, when measured by a heating fractionation correlation mol.wt.-measuring method, and the remainder of a crystalline polyolefin, and has improved film-forming characteristics and an oriented film.
