PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the sufficient fermentation of garbage and to exhibit of the functions of aerobic bacteria without extinction by uniformly agitating the garbage and bacteria over the entire part of a culture vessel. SOLUTION: The garbage decomposition treating machine 10 has a rotary drive shaft 14 which is disposed in the lower part of an outer box 12 and the culture vessel 16 which is pivotally supported by this rotary drive shaft 14 and is freely luffable around the rotary drive shaft 14. The contents, such as the garbage, in the culture vessel 16 are agitated by agitating vanes 18 of the rotary drive shaft 14. The rotary drive shaft 14 is freely rotatably supported by a pair of right and left flank covers. The culture vessel 16 are freely rotatably and pivotally supported at the rotary drive shaft 14 via a pair of right and left bearings.
