PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the replenishment of a coating material to a coating material supply device by arranging an intermittently supplying means for compressed air to pass alternately a coating material layer and an air layer in a replenishing passage from the coating material replenishment device in grounded state in a coating vessel of the coating material supply device in a non-grounded state. SOLUTION: The coating material 12 for replenishment is sucked from a sucking port 11a by a coating material replenishing machine 11 and is replenished to the coating material vessel 7 of the coating material supply device 2 in the non-grounded state through the replenishing passage 15 formed from a hose of an insulating member. A compressed air supply part 14 is provided in the outlet port of the coating material replenishing machine 11. In the compressed air supply part 14 in the grounded state, the compressed air is intermittently supplied from a T-shaped joint to an intermediate part of the replenishing passage 15 to make the coating material layer and the air layer alternately flow in the inside of the replenishing passage 15 to replenish the coating material to the coating material vessel 7 of the coating material supply device 2 from the coating material replenishing machine 11.
