PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine preventing a lubricating oil from mixing in a compressed or expanded fluid. SOLUTION: In one side of a housing 10a is fixed scroll 10a2 and a movable scroll 20 are housed while engaging together, and on the side of a housing 10a driving pin 12 whose axial center is eccentric from the axial center of a shaft 11, a needle bearing 22, a boss 20c of the movable scroll, a fixed race 24, a movable race 25, and a plurality of balls 26 interposing between the races are housed. A sealing member 27 attached in a circular groove 20d of an end plate 20a of the movable scroll is in contact close with the inner surface of a front housing 10b. Therefore, a driving chamber 28 is spatially blocked off from a compression chamber 29 comprising a spiral body 10a3 of the fixed scroll and a spiral body 20b of the movable scroll. Thereby, lubricating oil in the driving chamber is prevented from flowing in the compression chamber and mixing in a compressed fluid.
