PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a high silicon steel rapid cooled thin belt at low cost which is superior in a soft magnetic characteristic to a conventional one by using a rapid cooling method. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of a high silicon steel rapid cooled belt, a molten high silicon steel with Si content of 4.0 wt.% or more is jetted on the surface of a single cooling roll rotating at high speed via a nozzle having a slit-like opening, and is rapidly cooled/solidified into a target thickness. In this case, thickness t satisfies 80 μm>=t>30 μm, and the atmosphere in an area for jetting the molten high silicon steel is adjusted with inert gas in a manner that the relationship between oxygen density C (vol.%) and the thickness t (μm) of the atmosphere will satisfy the formula: C<=21-0.2(t-30). |
