PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laser beam machining and device therefor to execute laser beam machining by moving a turning unit to turn an eccentric optical system into an optical path of laser beam and executing a minute change in energy distribution of the laser beam without arrangement such as exchanging laser beam machining head. SOLUTION: In a laser beam machining method in which laser beam LB outputted from a laser beam oscillator 3 is transmitted by a reflection mirror 5 and emitted from a condensing optical device 9 arranged in a laser beam machining head, such as a lens toward a work, and then laser beam machining is practised, by arranging a holder 15 for an optical system equipped with a transmission optical device 13 inclined with a minimal angle in a route of laser beam LB between the laser oascillator 3 and the condensing optical device 9 and by rotating this holder 15 for the optical system at an optional rotary speed, a minute quantity of change in laser beam mode is made. |
