PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically settle a payment for gas. SOLUTION: Each metering device 17 of a gas station is provided with a wireless communication control unit 33 for receiving a signal sent from each on-board communication device 32 installed in each customer's car. The device 32 has an IC card 38 storing the information of a customer having the car, and sends information stored in a memory medium by a signal requesting the transmittance. A gas station managing center 44 is connected to ETC managing center 52 of a high way automatic fee collection system ETC 48 through a communication circuit 46. The center 52 is connected online with a plurality of financial institutions 541-54n such as a bank or a credit card company. Therefore, a payment for gas is settled at a designated financial institute 54 through the gas station managing center 44 and ETC managing center 52 based on an ID number stored in the IC card 38. |
