PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for obtaining the information on the bonding state for optimally bonding a top plate without a gap in the optimum condition depending on the shape variations of a top plate and a substrate so as to obtain preferable ink ejection characteristics in an ink-jet recording head. SOLUTION: A recording head comprising a first substrate and a second substrate to be bonded with each other for providing a plurality of liquid channels, wherein a position sensor 221 comprising an electrode disposed at a position facing the first and second substrates, is provided, and a production method for a recording head, wherein a first and second substrates are bonded, using a position sensor 221, are provided.
