PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install a weather strip along the peripheral edge of a plate material by pressing a weather strip to the peripheral wall of a fixed form member to install the weather strip, and then separating the fixed form member from the plate material. SOLUTION: A frame is placed in a positioned place, whereby an assisting device 1 for installation is placed substantially in the center of a glass plate 2. A primer is applied to the inside of a groove part 10 of a weather strip 3, and an adhesive is filled therein. This is because the weather strip 3 is bonded to the glass plate 2. The weather strip 3 is fitted along the peripheral edge of the glass plate 2 so that the peripheral edge of the glass plate 2 is fitted in the groove part 10 of the weather strip 3. In the sucking state, when an operating rod is actuated downward, an actuating member is displaced to be horizontal, so that a gap between the sucking surface of a sucker and the glass plate 2 is opened to the atmosphere. Thus, the sucking state is released so that the frame 11 is put in the state of separating from the glass plate 2. |
