<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute adequate pH regulation for setting the growth environment for microorganisms with a garbage treating device which executes the decomposition treatment of garbage by the microorganisms. SOLUTION: This garbage treating device has a decomposition tank 11 which executes the decomposition treatment of the garbage by a microorganism carrier 12 carried with the microorganisms, pH measuring sections 32 and 33 which detect the pH value of the microorganism carrier 12 and a pH control agent supply section 36 which supplies a pH control agent for controlling the pH value of the microorganism carrier 12 into the decomposition tank 11. The pH control agent is supplied into the decomposition tank 11 by the pH control agent supply section 36 when the pH value detected at the pH measuring sections 32 and 33 are below a prescribed pH value. The pH measuring sections 32 and 33 detect the pH value of the moisture in the cracking gas generated by the de composition treatment of the garbage in the decomposition tank 11.</p> |
