The invention is concerned with compounds of the formula (see formula I) as well as enol ethers and salts thereof and their manufacture. The compounds have herbicidal properties and are accordingly suitable as active ingredients of weed control compositions. The invention is also concerned with weed control compositions containing one or more of such substances and with the use of the substances or compositions for the control of weeds. In the compounds of the invention R1 signifies hydrogen, C1-4-alkyl, C3 or 4-alkenyl, C3 or 4-alkynyl or C1-4-haloalkyl, R2 signifies C1-6-alkylsulphonyl-C1-4-alkyl, di (C1-6-alkyl)phosphono-C1-4-alkyl, tri (C1-6-alkyl)silyl-C1-4-alkyl, C2-7-alkanoyl-C1-4-alkyl, carboxyl-C1-4-alkyl, (C1-6-alkoxy)-carbonyl-C1-4-alkyl, {¢C3-9-(.alpha.-alkoxy-alkylidene)!iminooxy-(C1-6-alkoxy) carbonyl}-C1-4-alkyl, (C3-6-alkenyloxy)carbonyl-C1-4-alkyl, (C3-6-alkynyloxy)carbonyl-C1-4-alkyl, (C3-8-cyclo-alkyloxy)carbonyl-C1-4-alkyl, phenoxy-C1-4 -alkyl, C3-6-alkenyloxy-C1-4-alkyl, C3-8-cycloalkenyloxy-C1-4-alkyl, C5-8-cycloalkenyl, C6-8-bicycloalkyl, C6-8-bicyclo-alkenyl, C2-~-cyanoalkyl or C3-6-alkynyloxy-C1-4-alkyl, R3 signifies halogen or cyano, R4 signifies hydrogen or halogen, R5 signifies hydrogen, fluorine or C1-4-alkyl and R6 signifies C1-4-alkyl or C1-4-haloalkyl or R5 and R6 together form trimethylene or tetramethylene, or corresponding enol ethers. In corresponding enol ethers, R1 is other than hydrogen or C1-4 haloalkyl.
