ORGANIC EL PRINT HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL print head wherein the efficiency of an optical element is high and a life and a luminance of an organic EL element are good. SOLUTION: Films of a protection layer 13, color filters 14 (14R, 14G, 14B) for R, G, B colors, an overcoat layer 15, an anode 16, an insulation layer having an aperture 17a, an organic layer 18 (a hole injecting layer, a hole transporting layer, a light emission layer) and a cathode 19 are provided on a fiber array plate(FAP) 10. A material having a light emission spectrum of which range is wide enough for a visible range is used for the light emission layer so that a full-color image can be formed by a photosensitive material of a recording medium. As a light transmission efficiency is improved to be a roughly fifty times of that of a conventional one, it is possible to obtain image quality roughly equal to that in a conventional one even at 200 cd/m2. As a result, the expected life of a half value period of luminance becomes over 10000 hours, i.e., 500 times of that in a conventional one. A power consumption becomes a ratio of 1/50 of that in a conventional one. A printing speed is markedly improved. The structure is allowed to be compact as compared to heretofore. The resolution is raised and the chromatic aberration is eliminated and the heat resistance and the abrasion resistance are improved.
