PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the manufacture even in the case of a large container, improve the heat-insulating property, ensure a proper strength, and at the same time, reduce the weight, and reduce the material cost as well by forming the container main body of a sheet body, and forming ribs on the outer peripheral surface of the container main body by applying a synthetic resin. SOLUTION: A container main body 3 is formed of a multi-layer plastic sheet body which is a single layer of polypropylene or the like or wherein a gas barrier resin such as an ethylene/vinyl alcohol resin is laminated on the single layer, by a thermal forming method such as a vacuum-forming or a pressure-forming. Then, the container main body 3 is fitted on a tapered rotation-holding body, and is rotated at a specified speed together with the rotation-holding body. Then, a plate roller applies a foaming hot melt adhesive on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 3a of the container main body 3 while rotating, and ribs 7 are formed. For the foaming hot melt adhesive, to a low density polyethylene or the like in which a tackifier and a modifier are added, a foaming agent is added, and the low density polyethylene is expanded to contain air bubbles.
