<p>Plastic with controlled lifetime containing native starch and being treated by NaH2PO4 esterification wherein sodium salt is consequently converted to a metal salt of transition valence, preferably ferrous, manganese, cobalt or cerium salt, which plastic contains from 55 to 94 wt.% of polystyrene and from 6 to 45 wt.% of a starch mixture containing from 80 to 99.4 wt.% of treated starch, from 0.1 to 10 wt.% of water and from 0.5 to 10 wt.% of a compatibiliser, which compatibiliser is represented by an organic substance having both polar and non-polar substituents of an organic acid type, their esters, amides or anhydrites provided that the length of linear chains of said molecules ranges between 6 and 30 carbon atoms.</p> |
