PURPOSE:To set the number of control memories to be less than the number of substitute paths by using a spatial switch so as to select a control memory corresponding to a fault pattern for each path among n-sets of control memories. CONSTITUTION:The method is provided with control memories 15-17 to drive a read side of a data memory 11. When a fault takes place in channels 1, 2 of an incoming highway and data read from the memory 11 to a channel 10 of an outgoing highway, a spatial switch 14 selects the memory 15 to connect the channel 3 of the incoming highway. Then in the case of data read from the memory 11 to a channel 11, the switch 14 selects the memory 16 to connect the channel 4 of the incoming highway. Thus, the selection of the control memory is facilitated by storing connection information for the control memories based on a fault state to a memory in a read control section 18. |
