PURPOSE:To simplify a production process and to obtain uniform charge- discharge performance by mixing a hydrogen storage alloy or nickel-plated hydrogen storage alloy in a negative electrode layer. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode layer 4, a separator layer 5 in which an electrolyte is impregnated, and a positive electrode layer 6 are stacked in order in a container 9 and sealed therein. A nickel and copper-plated hydrogen storage alloy or a nickel-plated hydrogen storage alloy is mixed in the negative electrode layer 6. The hydrogen storage alloy absorbs hydrogen and the hydrogen is used for charge-discharge of a battery by its oxidation-reduction reaction. The battery whose discharge voltage is flat and capacity is uniform is obtained and its production yield is increased. |
